Monumental Inscription (Section D.)

To the memory of Robert Wighton, Farmer, Hillbank, Dundee, who died the 20th March, 1843, aged 79 years, also of his sons, John, who died the 13th March, 1836 aged 39 years, and David, who died 6th January 1840 aged 26 years. Janet Spark by whom this stone was erected and relict of the above Robert Wighton, died 28th July 1849 aged 69 years, Margaret Wighton, their daughter, died 23rd June, 1854 aged 35 years. Their daughter Janet Wighton, relict of William Jeffers, Shipmaster, and of James Johnston, Methodist Minister.

To the memory of Robert Wighton, Farmer, Wallace Craigie and Hillbank, Dundee, who died the 20th March, 1843, aged 79 years, also of his sons, John, who died at Arbroath 12th *sic March, 1836 aged 29 years, and David, who died at Port au Prince in the Island of St Domingo, 6th January 1840 aged 26 years. Janet Spark by whom this stone was erected and relict of the above Robert Wighton, died 28th July 1849 aged 69 years, Margaret Wighton, their daughter, died 23rd June, 1854 aged 35 years. Their daughter Janet Wighton, relict of William Jeffers, Shipmaster, and of James Johnston, Methodist Minister, died 21st June 1867, aged 51 years. Their son Thomas Wighton, feuar, Dundee, died 8th Septermber 1882, aged 70 years.
