Erected by James Hunter, Shipmaster, and Jannet White his spouse, in memory of their children, James died 20th May1843 aged 1 year 7 months, Robert W. Hunter died January 1849. Aged 2 weeks.

Erected by James Hunter, shipmaster and Jannet *sic White his spouse in memory of their children, James died 20th May 1843 aged 1 year and 7 months, James Hill died 12th January 1848 aged 2 years and 1 month. Robert W. Hunter, infant son died 2nd January 1849 aged 2 weeks. The above James Hunter, Captain of the brig Ianthe was lost at sea on a voyage from Alexandria December 1848 aged 34 years. The above Jannet White died 29th December 1848 aged 32 years. Recorded by John W. Hunter their only surviving son. The above John W. Hunter born 1st December 1840, died 29th September 1874. Andrew Hunter and Jane Hill his spouse. John White and Isabella Wishart his spouse, the parents of James Hunter and Jannet White.
