Monumental Inscription (Section E.)
Erected by James Allan (Machine Maker) and Margaret Dickson, his wife, in memory of their son James Allan who died 21st May 1838 aged 12 years. Also of Christina Allan their daughter who died 1st January 1853 aged 28 years. And of Peter Allan their son, who died at Aberdeen, 29th December 1854 aged 19 years. Also James Allan their son who died at Dundee 23rd March, 1864 aged 22 yrs. Here lie also James Allan Snr. who died 28th June 1883 and his wife Margaret Dickson who died 15th January 1879.
