Monumental Inscription (Section F.)
In memory of Richard Buist (Upholsterer) who died 26th November 1839 aged 27 years, and his widow Mary Dowrie who died 13th April 1887 aged 75 years and their son Richard who died in infancy 13th July 1837. John Haddon Buist (Cabinet-Maker) born 7th Ootober 1839 died 8th August 1917.

Richard Buist, Upholsterer died from Typhus and was interred 29/11/1839 in the Howff burial ground, plot No. 1422 A
Request for the memorial to be removed and re-erected on the family plot in the Western Cemetery.
