Monumental Inscription (Section A.)
In memory of David Malcolm, Writer, Dundee, who died 12th May 1839 aged 38 years also Robert Malcolm, Commander of the ship Letitia who was drowned near the Island of St. Brandon in the Indian Ocean: in attempting to swim ashore from the wreck of his ship. He was interred by his crew on that lonely Island 15th September, 1845 aged 36 years, and of James Malcolm,. Surgeon, 9th Regt. of Foot who died at Newry 13th October 1848 aged 45 years. In memory of John Malcolm, M.D. who died 3rd July 1859.

David Malcolm died at Edinburgh 17th January, 1841 aged 63. His wife Elizabeth Meekison died 13th April,
1852 aged 84.
John Malcolm M.D. died 3rd July 1859 aged 52.
Ann Brown wife of David Malcolm, Solicitor, dundee, died 24th May, 1888 aged 83.
Dedicated by her children and grandchildren.
William Malcolm died at sea on his passage from India 7th August, 1852 aged 47.

Monumental Inscription (section A.)
Erected by James Young and Andrew Geddes in memory of James Young, Blackscroft, Dundee, who died 21st September 1849 aged 79 years, Elisabeth Simpson, his widow, who died 28th May 1851 aged 71 years. Also in memory of our children Elizabeth Young who died 5th November 1848 aged 5 weeks. James Young who died 11th March 1853 aged 3 years, Andrew G. Young who died 13th March 1864 aged 6 years, Martha R. Young died 7th August 1873 aged 8 years. At sea 3rd January 1881 William F. Young, mate, ship Largo Bay aged 27 years.
The Above James Young died 1st March, 1882 aged 69 years, Isabella S. Geddes who died 26th September 1849 aged 15 months Helen B, Geddes who died 15th February 1868 aged 21 years.
