Erected in the terms of the Testamentary Provision of the late Andrew Guthrie, Merchant, Dundee, died 27th June 1853 also his father Robert Guthrie died 12th January 1843 aged 75 years and his mother Catherine Welch died 5th December 1836 aged 51 years.

Guthrie who died 12th January 1843 aged 75 years and his mother Catherine Welch died 5th December 1836 aged 51 years. Their children, Robert died 1st July
1836 aged 38 years, Catherine died 20th March 1842 aged 29 years. Elizabeth wife of William Kerr died 20th June 1850 aged 42 years. The children of
Charles Guthrie, Robert died 1840 aged 1 year and 7 months; Catherine died 1843 aged 1 year and 1 month; and twins who died 1852 in infancy. John son of
John Guthrie died 30th January 1852 aged 1 year and 10 months.
