Monumental Inscription (Section B.)

Sacred to the memory of Peter Hean, Builder, Dundee died June 1877 aged 77 years and of his children James, surgeon, William, Alexander, Robert, Mrs Elizabeth Small or Hean widow of the above-named Peter Hean.

Peter Hean, builder, Dundee, died 15th June 1877, aged 78 years. His children James S. Hean, surgeon, died 3rd April 1857, aged 28 years. William Hean
died 20th May 1861, aged 24 years. Alexander Hean died 8th January 1853, aged 14 years. Robert Hean died 30th October 1842 aged 2 years. Mrs Elizabeth
Small or Hean widow of the above Peter Hean died 16th September 1885, aged 79 years. Peter Hean, junior, a son died 7th March 1889, aged 54 years. David
Hean eldest son of the said Peter Hean died 17th March 1891 aged 61 years.

Funeral Mr David Hean.

The funeral of Mr David Hean, eldest son of the late Mr Peter Hean, Rosemount, Dundee, and formerly manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, who died in London on Tuesday, took place Saturday. The remains of the deceased arrived in the morning at the Tay Bridge Station, Dundee, whence in the afternoon they were removed for interment Constitution Road Burying Ground. The obsequies were largely attended. The pallbearers were William Thornton, Mr T. Thornton, Mr D. Alexander, Mr D. Hume, Mr T. W. Thoms, Mr D. Lawson, Mr J. J. Barrie, and Mr A. Hutton. Messrs J. & J. Gray acted as the undertakers.
