Monumental Inscription (Section B.)
Erected by William Gray, Shipmaster, and Elizabeth Brough his spouse in memory of their sons John and William and their daughter Jessie Gray died April 1844 aged 7 years.

1839. Erected by William Gray, shipmaster, Dundee and Elizabeth brough his spouse in memory of their son John died 22nd November 1836 aged 8 months 20 days, their son William died 27th March 1842 aged 1 year 7 months. Their daughter Jessie Gray died 18th April 1844 aged 7 years and 6 months. Alexander Fairweather, son-in-law of Captain W. Gray was lost on a voyage from Calcutta to London 1860. William Gray, 3rd son of Captain William Gray, died at Calcutta 3rd October 1869 aged 27 years. Elizabeth Brough, wife of William Gray died 24th November 1878, aged 72 years. William Gray, shipmaster,died 15th January 1889, aged 82 years.
