Monumental Inscription (Section C.)
Sacred to the memory of George Barrie who died at Coldside 9th September, 1841 aged 72 years, Ann Low, his wife, who died at Carnoustie 25th Uctober, 1847 aged 66 years. James Barrie who died 24th February 1869 aged 50 years, Ann White, his wife, died 12th May 1871 aged 57 years, also their family David, died 10th August, 1851 aged 1 1/2 years, George died 9th May 1853 aged 5 months, Ann Low who died 6th July, 1857 aged 10 years, James who died 16th August, 1870 aged 22 years. Robert Leighton, who died at Newport 30th May, 1868 aged 61 years, Euphemia Barrie his wife, who died 18th January, 1882 aged 85 years.
