Monumental Inscription (Section D.)

Erected by Alexander Butchart (Wood Merchant) and George Butchant in memory of their father, Andrew Butchart who died 8th July 1827, aged 57 years and of their mother, Janet Anderson, who died 1st Jan. 1837 aged 66 years. Also their sister, Janet Butchart, who died 11th July 1851, aged 37 years. The above Alexander Butchart died 12th Feb. 1864 aged 63 years.

Janet Butchart eldest daughter of the above Alexander Butchart died 29th December 1874, aged 43 years. Catherine Myles Dick widow of the above Alexander Butchart, died 26th October 1884, in her 80th year.
